The Chungnam Economic Promotion Agency announced on the 18th that it will implement the youth internship program "Chungjeon" to help young people settle in the region.
This program matches young job seekers who want work experience with companies in the province that are looking for practical talent.
Last year, 62 young people participated in this program, and 14 of them were hired as full-time employees at outstanding companies.
The agency will match 70 talents recommended by local public institutions, private companies, and universities, and support their internship work for four months from September to December.
Eligible participants include public institutions and private companies with five or more employees located in Chungnam, as well as university students who are about to graduate.
Companies that hire youth interns will receive support for part of the training operation costs and in-house mentor activity expenses.
Youth participants will receive consulting for job applications and self-development expenses, and will work as interns for four months. In addition, they can receive university credits in connection with the field practice semester system.
An official from the agency said, "Through this program, we will discover young talents who can contribute to regional economic development, and promote customized job support to create a stable employment environment."
