Cheonan City to Promote C-STAR Development Project...Support for Promising Startups

Recruitment for the Third Cohort in April and the Fourth Cohort in the Second Half of the Year

Cheonan City to Promote C-STAR Development Project...Support for Promising Startups Park Sangdon, mayor of Cheonan, is demonstrating the ultra-light wearable robot of C-STAR company We Robotics in June last year.

Cheonan City in Chungnam Province announced on the 18th that it will implement the C-STAR development project this year to support promising startups.

The core of this project is to select startups with strong technological capabilities and high growth potential and provide customized support.

The city plans to select the third group of C-STAR startups in April and recruit the fourth group in the second half of the year.

Last year, the city selected 14 C-STAR companies and supported them with investment attraction, market development, and proof-of-concept activities. One of the C-STAR companies, WeRobotics, was recognized for its international competitiveness by winning the CES Innovation Award for two consecutive years.

This year, the city plans to expand overseas opportunities in connection with the smart city project, strengthen networking, and encourage private investors to participate through investment promotion events.

Mayor Park Sangdon said, "If startups with high growth potential take on the challenge, we will reward them with the best possible support," adding, "We ask for your interest so that unicorn companies can be born through the C-STAR project."

Meanwhile, C-STAR is a word that combines the 'C' from Cheonan and 'STAR' from startup.
