The event was attended by major participating companies, professors, and representatives from collaborating institutions. It included presentations and discussions on students' completion of educational courses and field campus internships, awarding of secondary battery microdegree completion certificates, a scholarship certificate ceremony for advanced industry talent development hosted by the Ministry of Education, and a signing ceremony with newly participating companies and institutions.
Representatives from major participating companies generally praised the achievements from the students' short-term educational programs, and some expressed interest in immediately hiring certain students for practical use.
Nam Ho-su, head of the project group from the Department of Smart Mobility, stated, “In the second-year project this year, we plan to significantly expand the established practical training environment to enable hands-on training in conditions similar to the field, thereby enhancing the completeness of the secondary battery talent development system.”
Dongseo University is dedicating itself to nurturing experts in the secondary battery field with financial support of 8.2 billion KRW over five years from the Ministry of Education, Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology, and Busan City. In line with this, the university established and has been operating the Department of Smart Mobility starting this year to further improve the system and completeness of talent development.
