The site briefing session is a stage where detailed information and materials necessary for the expansion of facilities such as civil engineering, architecture, electricity, communications, and firefighting, which form the foundation of the automated port terminal infrastructure, are provided to the contract candidates to lay the groundwork for proper construction.

Starting with the site briefing session, the basic design for the infrastructure construction will be carried out over the next four months. The contract candidates must submit the basic design documents and the priority construction implementation design documents to YGPA by June 13. After the review by the Central Construction Review Committee of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, the priority construction (Fast track) for the main project is scheduled to commence in July.

Kwon Dongjin, Vice President of Development Projects, said, “We held a site briefing session on the infrastructure so that facilities tailored to the characteristics of Gwangyang Port would be designed from the domestic technology-based automated terminal infrastructure design stage, and we will do our best to provide the best facilities.”
