Flawless Fit... LG Electronics Changes Kitchen Trends with Refrigerators

'Built-in Effect' with Dios Fit&Max
Enhancing Convenience and Energy Efficiency with New Technology
"The Best Choice for Customers Seeking a Sleek Kitchen"

LG Electronics is leading kitchen interior trends that enhance space efficiency with the 'LG Dios Objet Collection Refrigerator Fit&Max,' which delivers the effect of built-in appliances.

According to LG Electronics on the 18th, Fit&Max is a refrigerator that minimizes the gap between the refrigerator and the wall using LG Electronics' technology. It can be installed with only a 4mm gap remaining, which is the thickness of two 500-won coins. The depth of the refrigerator is designed to match the typical depth of domestic furniture cabinets (700mm) so that it does not protrude from the front of the cabinet. LG Electronics explains that this allows for an interior design that looks as if a built-in refrigerator was installed from the start.

LG Electronics named it Fit&Max because it implements a design that fits perfectly into the space while also creating a sense of unity. It is a new level that combines the advantages of built-in appliances, which do not waste empty space and look neat, with the advantages of conventional appliances that have no restrictions on moving, such as relocation or furniture rearrangement. Customer experience is also maximized through STEM automatic ice-making technology that produces round ice via a direct water line.

Considering the recent trend of customers purchasing two or more refrigerators, LG Electronics introduced that Fit&Max can narrow the gaps between products to create a unified look as if they were a single product. When installing a refrigerator and a kimchi refrigerator in a row, customers can utilize each function while maintaining a cohesive kitchen design.

LG Electronics applied new hinge technology (Zero Clearance) to Fit&Max. A hinge is a component that helps open and close the door, and typically when a refrigerator door is fully opened, the door protrudes beyond the main body, requiring space for clearance. In contrast, Fit&Max created a rotation path inside the main body with two axes for the door. Even when installed tightly against the cabinet, the door does not hit the wall when opened.

Additionally, the front heat dissipation technology, which intakes air from the front of the refrigerator and exhausts it again, reduced the gap with the rear. As a result, it minimizes the gap with surrounding furniture while maintaining excellent energy efficiency.

LG Electronics plans to accelerate its global built-in market strategy by adding Fit&Max to its built-in product lineup. According to market research firm Euromonitor, the global built-in market size is estimated to reach $64.5 billion (approximately 93 trillion KRW) by 2025. LG Electronics emphasized that Fit&Max can be an attractive alternative for customers who want to purchase built-in products but hesitate due to high interior costs.

LG Electronics will start selling Fit&Max through its online brand shop within this month. They plan to expand the lineup by sequentially introducing new products with various capacities and functions, including two top-freezer refrigerators (601L and 506L), two kimchi refrigerators (470L and 324L), and three convertible refrigerators. To allow customers to choose colors that harmonize well with their home interiors, luxurious Objet Collection colors will also be added.

LG Electronics will also showcase the Fit&Max lineup at 'KBIS (The Kitchen & Bath Industry Show) 2025,' the largest kitchen and bath exhibition in North America, held in Las Vegas, USA, starting from the 25th.

Baek Seung-tae, Vice President and Head of LG Electronics Kitchen Solutions Division, emphasized, "The product line applying Fit&Max technology will be the best choice for customers who want a highly refined and neat kitchen interior."
