This project targets the Hanshin University Community Center located at 539-4, Jinandong, Hwaseong-si. The city plans to create a complex cultural space with a total floor area of 511㎡, offering various cultural contents from the basement first floor to the third floor above ground of this facility. The project will invest 500 million KRW each from the provincial government and the city budget, secured through selection in the 2025 Gyeonggi-do Idle Space Cultural Regeneration Contest.

The city especially expects that once the complex cultural space is established, it will create a synergy effect through linkage with existing old downtown development projects such as Byeongjeom Plaza and the Startup Culture Complex Center, becoming a successful case of balanced development.

The signing ceremony was attended by Jeong Myeong-geun, Mayor of Hwaseong, Kwon Chil-seung, National Assembly member of the Democratic Party, Kang Seong-young, President of Hanshin University, Lee Jin-hyung, Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly member, and Jang Cheol-gyu, Hwaseong City Council member.

Mayor Jeong said, "The complex cultural space will serve as a cultural hub and the center of the local community in the Byeongjeom area, acting as a catalyst for the cultural revival of the old downtown. We will continue to strive to meet the cultural demands of citizens and achieve balanced regional development."
