Four-Day Orientation Programs by College Begin on the 17th

The National Pukyong University Student Council (President Hwang Dong-hyun) and the student councils of each college organized this event for the 3,736 freshmen who were admitted through early and regular admissions this year to welcome them and help them adapt to university life.
The event will be held in an orientation format by each college from the 17th to the 20th. On the morning of the 17th, the event was held for freshmen of the Division of Liberal Arts, and in the afternoon for freshmen of the College of Fisheries Science. On the 18th, events will be held for the College of Engineering and the College of Business Administration; on the 19th, for the College of Information Convergence and the College of Humanities and Social Sciences; and on the 20th, for the College of Natural Sciences and the College of Environment and Ocean. The College of Future Convergence and the Global Autonomous Major Division will hold separate events.
The event included an introduction to the university, guidance on academic systems, provision of university life information, and introductions of administrative officers such as deans and student self-governing organizations. A talk show and club performances were also held to strengthen bonds between seniors and juniors and to enhance freshmen’s sense of belonging.
National Pukyong University holds the Freshman Culture Festival every year before the entrance ceremony. This year’s entrance ceremony will be held on the morning of February 28 at the university theater.
