On the 18th, Gwangju and Jeonnam will continue to experience cold weather as temperatures drop below freezing and strong winds persist.


From today until the day after tomorrow, Gwangju and Jeonnam will be affected by a cold continental high-pressure system expanding from northern China. Morning temperatures are expected to range from -6 to -2 degrees Celsius, and daytime highs will be between 3 and 5 degrees, lower than the previous day.


This morning, the lowest temperatures are expected to be -6 degrees in Gokseong, -5 degrees in Damyang, Jangseong, Hwasun, and Gurye, -4 degrees in Gwangju, Yeonggwang, Naju, Yeongam, Jangheung, Boseong, Suncheon, Gwangyang, and Goheung, -3 degrees in Hampyeong, Muan, Haenam, and Gangjin, and -2 degrees in Shinan, Mokpo, Jindo, and Wando.


The highest daytime temperatures will be 5 degrees in Gwangyang and Goheung, 4 degrees in Gwangju, Naju, Yeongam, Jangheung, Haenam, Gangjin, Jindo, Wando, Suncheon, and Yeosu, and 3 degrees in Yeonggwang, Jangseong, Damyang, Gokseong, Gurye, Muan, Shinan, Mokpo, Hwasun, and Boseong, all lower than the previous day.


Waves in the West Sea will reach 1 to 3 meters, and in the South Sea, 1 to 2 meters. Both fine and ultrafine dust levels are expected to be 'good.'


An official from the Korea Meteorological Administration said, "In Gwangju and Jeonnam, strong winds will make it feel even colder, so please take extra care of your health due to the sudden temperature changes."
