Starting from the 20th
Haenam County in Jeollanam-do (Governor Myung Hyun-gwan) announced on the 17th that it will provide livelihood economic recovery support funds starting from the 20th.
Each resident will receive 200,000 KRW, distributed in the form of Haenam Sarang gift certificates (paper type). Eligible recipients include residents registered in Haenam County as of 6:00 PM on the 23rd of last month, as well as marriage immigrants (F6) and permanent residents (F5).
Previously, the county enacted an ordinance regarding the support fund, which was promulgated on the 17th. Accordingly, after purchasing and sorting the gift certificates, the county plans to start distribution from the 20th. Applications can be submitted at the local town and township offices from the 20th of this month to the 19th of next month, and the funds will be provided immediately upon application.
If the head of household listed in the resident registration applies, the support funds for all household members will be paid at once. Household members can also apply on behalf of the head of household with proper authorization.
In Haenam-eup, to prevent confusion and inconvenience caused by a large number of visitors at once, the villages will be divided by date for application. In particular, for the 15 villages with the largest number of households, a five-day rotation system will be implemented based on the last digit of the applicant’s birth year. In the remaining 13 townships, applications can be made by visiting the township office or through a visiting village application service.
Governor Myung Hyun-gwan stated, "I hope that everyone will apply for the support fund so that it can provide comfort to residents facing difficulties, and I ask that you use the funds by April 30th to help revitalize the local economy as soon as possible."
For details on how to apply by town or township, please refer to the Haenam County Office website or Sotongnet.
