Site Solicitation for Autonomous Private High School in Busan Begins
Korea Exchange Aims to Nurture Global Financial Talent

The Korea Exchange has entered the site solicitation process as it announced the establishment of an autonomous private high school in Busan to nurture global financial talent.

Previously, on December 3rd last year, the Korea Exchange signed a 'Busan Autonomous Private High School Establishment Business Agreement' together with Busan Metropolitan City, Busan Metropolitan City Office of Education, and BNK Financial Group. The Exchange stated that the site selection committee, consisting of a total of eight members recommended by these institutions with two members each, held its second meeting on the 13th and then initiated the site solicitation process on the 17th.

The Korea Exchange signed a "Busan Autonomous Private High School Establishment Business Agreement for Fostering Financial Talent" at Busan Metropolitan City Hall on December 3 last year and is taking a commemorative photo. The solicitation is scheduled to proceed for about three weeks from today until March 7th, and after document screening and on-site inspections, the final candidate site will be selected by the end of March. The recruitment announcement will be individually sent to 16 basic local governments under Busan Metropolitan City, and the announcement can also be viewed on the Korea Exchange website.

To ensure fair site selection, the Exchange plans to establish detailed criteria such as location, economic feasibility, and connectivity of candidate sites and conduct a comprehensive evaluation. Once the site selection is completed, the Exchange will finalize the establishment of the school corporation within the year together with the agreement institutions and proceed with practical procedures aiming for the school to open in 2029.
