Acting Governor Jeong held an emergency meeting with senior officials and urged, "No matter the circumstances, please do your utmost in your duties without wavering in the administration of the county," emphasizing, "Let us all wisely overcome these difficult times together."

He instructed public officials to faithfully carry out their responsibilities to ensure discipline and prevent any administrative gaps, and to respond quickly to all situations so that residents have no cause for concern.

Acting Governor Jeong stated, "Although we are facing an unprecedented situation with the vacancy of the county governor, if we maintain administrative continuity based on the trust of the residents and unite the strength of the residents, the council, and public officials, we will be able to overcome this crisis," adding, "I hope everyone will come together and contribute their wisdom."

Meanwhile, according to Article 124 of the Local Autonomy Act, the vice governor assumes the authority of the governor in the event of a vacancy. Acting Governor Jeong will lead the county administration until a new governor is elected and inaugurated through a by-election.
