LIV Golf, which is accelerating merger talks with the PGA Tour, announced on the 17th a long-term plan to extend the contract. LIV Golf has agreed to extend the tournament hosting contract with the South Australian government, where Adelaide is located. Initially, LIV Golf and the South Australian government had a contract to hold LIV Golf tournaments for five years, and the contract expires next year.

LIV Golf has established itself as a popular sports event in the Adelaide region. The Adelaide tournament, held four times so far, has attracted 100,000 spectators annually. Although LIV Golf generally has almost no spectators except for players' families, officials, and media, the Adelaide tournament drew crowds comparable to top-tier PGA Tour events. More than 100,000 spectators filled the course at this year’s tournament, which ended on the 16th at the Grange Golf Club in Adelaide.

In particular, the enthusiastic atmosphere with drinking cheers and loud cheering was very similar to the WM Phoenix Open, known as the "Golf Liberation Zone" of the PGA Tour. When Patrick Reed (USA) made a hole-in-one, the crowd threw beer cans like rain, showering Reed with beer. CEO Scott O'Neil expressed satisfaction, saying, "There is no better venue than Adelaide." From next year, the tournament venue will be moved to the North Adelaide Golf Course.
