Fare Discounts Available Until the 20th
Jin Air will be the first domestic airline to launch a new route between Incheon and Ishigakijima.
Jin Air announced on the 17th that it will begin exclusive operation of the Incheon?Ishigakijima route five times a week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday) starting April 3.
The outbound flight departs from Incheon Airport (T2) at 9:05 a.m. and arrives at the destination at 12:00 p.m. local time. The return flight departs at 1:00 p.m. local time and arrives at Incheon Airport (T2) at 3:30 p.m.
Ishigakijima, an island in Okinawa Prefecture, Japan, boasts emerald-colored seas and diverse coral reefs. Visitors can enjoy a relaxing vacation in a mild climate and tranquil atmosphere. Notable attractions include the manta ray habitat, a world-renowned diving spot; Kabira Bay, selected as one of Japan’s top 100 scenic views; and a gourmet tour featuring Ishigaki beef, considered one of Japan’s finest wagyu varieties.
The surrounding islands also offer plenty of activities. Famous experiences include the "Water Buffalo Cart" on Yubu Island, where visitors cross shallow seas riding water buffalo, and the "Jungle Kayak" on Iriomotejima, a World Natural Heritage site and Japan’s largest mangrove forest, where 90% of the island is jungle.
A Jin Air representative said, "Ishigakijima, which could previously only be reached via Okinawa or charter flights, can now be conveniently visited by direct flights. We hope more customers will have the opportunity to experience Ishigakijima’s beautiful nature and exotic culture firsthand."
Meanwhile, to commemorate the launch of the Ishigakijima route, Jin Air is offering fare discounts through Jin Market until the 20th. The lowest one-way total fare, including fuel surcharges and airport taxes, starts at 74,200 KRW as of this date. Reservations can be made via the Jin Air official website and mobile application.
