The 26th Edition of 'Lee Dong-jin's Untact Talk': 'Mickey 17'
90-Minute Post-Film Conversation Between Bong Joon-ho and Lee Dong-jin
Screenings at CGV on the 26th and the 1st and 2nd of Next Month
CGV announced on the 17th that it has selected the 75th Berlin International Film Festival invited film Mickey 17 as the 26th work of 'Lee Dong-jin's Untact Talk' and will screen it on the 26th of this month and the 1st and 2nd of next month.
'Lee Dong-jin's Untact Talk' is a non-face-to-face cinema talk presented by CGV, offering in-depth commentary by film critic Lee Dong-jin. Starting with director Leos Carax's Annette in 2021, a total of 25 films have been introduced to audiences, up to director Brady Corbet's The Brutalist.
The film Mickey 17 is a sci-fi movie about 'Mickey,' a disposable expendable sent on dangerous missions who, after facing his 17th death crisis, is presumed dead and replaced by 'Mickey 18.' It will have its world premiere in Korea on the 28th.
From the 26th, before its official release, Mickey 17 - Lee Dong-jin's Untact Talk will feature a dialogue video between director Bong Joon-ho and critic Lee Dong-jin, lasting about 90 minutes after the film ends. Film critic Lee Dong-jin commented, "The more you delve into it, the more fascinating paradoxes emerge, wrapped in humor that shines like the morning star." Considering the film's 137-minute runtime, a 10-minute break will be given after the screening. Mickey 17 - Lee Dong-jin's Untact Talk can be viewed at over 30 theaters nationwide, including CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall.
