Hapcheon-gun Holds 2026 National Road Fund Discovery Report Meeting

A total of 115 projects worth 377.1 billion KRW
Discovery of new and major pending projects

Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongnam Province, announced on the 17th that it held the '2026 National and Provincial Subsidy Project and Public Contest Project Discovery Report Meeting' in a small conference room to discuss securing the national and provincial subsidy budget for next year.


Presided over by County Governor Kim Yoon-cheol, the report meeting was organized to revitalize the local economy and ensure sustainable development amid difficult revenue conditions such as a decrease in local allocation tax. Discussions were held on the progress and budget securing strategies for new and major pending projects independently discovered by each department.

The major projects include ▲ Southern region wide-area tourism development project ▲ Barrier-free tourism connectivity enhancement public contest project ▲ Hapcheon Meteorite Impact ICT Experience Center construction project ▲ Daejanggyung Theme Park Sky Garden creation project ▲ Chogye-myeon urban regeneration public contest project ▲ Jukgo flood and wind disaster living zone comprehensive maintenance project ▲ Gopum flood and wind disaster living zone comprehensive maintenance project.


Hapcheon-gun set a target of 4.5% increase considering the 2026 national fiscal expenditure growth plan (4.0%), aiming for 296.7 billion KRW, which is 12.8 billion KRW more than the 283.9 billion KRW secured in 2025. As a result of discovering national and provincial subsidy projects, a total of 115 projects (52 new, 63 ongoing) worth 377.1 billion KRW were identified.


Among these, excluding national and provincial subsidies allocated by laws and regulations, the scale of discovered public contest projects is 64 projects worth 151.4 billion KRW, which is a 14% increase compared to the 132.9 billion KRW secured in 2025.


Governor Kim Yoon-cheol said, "Securing the budget is essential for the stable promotion of county administration and regional development," and urged, "Please focus all administrative power to vigorously promote the projects discovered at this report meeting to ensure securing the 2026 national and provincial subsidies."


Meanwhile, Hapcheon-gun plans to supplement the projects presented at the meeting and from March onward will actively visit Gyeongnam Province and central government departments to explain the project feasibility. They will also activate personal networks including local members of the National Assembly to make every effort to secure national and provincial subsidies and select various public contest projects for 2026.
