Gwangju Christian Hospital (Director Lee Seungwook) announced on the 16th that it recently held an opening ceremony for the expanded External Medical Cooperation Center and has officially begun operations.

Gwangju Christian Hospital has changed the name of its Medical Cooperation Center to the External Medical Cooperation Center. In addition to its previous roles of visitor guidance and handling medical referrals and transfers, the center will now integrate services such as specialized medical consultations.

When patients are referred from primary and secondary partner clinics and hospitals, or when transfers to tertiary medical institutions are required, the center will provide prompt and systematic medical services, including rapid scheduling for consultations and admissions, as well as efficient referral and transfer processes.

Additionally, through a hotline, dedicated coordinators with professional knowledge and experience will offer consultations for severe cases where it is difficult to classify the medical department or when in-depth counseling is needed, including for hospice patients and inquiries related to hospital admissions between institutions.

Director Lee Seungwook stated, "The External Medical Cooperation Center serves as a bridge between local medical institutions and is an important platform for the joint growth of patients and hospitals," adding, "We will do our best to ensure that patients receive appropriate care at the right time."
