U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance expressed his intention to devise a plan to resolve the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine through negotiations.


According to Reuters, on the 14th (local time), Vice President Vance attended the Munich Security Conference (MSC) held in Germany and stated, "We will discuss ways to lead the Ukraine-Russia conflict to a negotiated resolution." He also emphasized regarding the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), "I want to confirm whether NATO was truly created for the future."


On this day, the U.S. delegation, including Vice President Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and White House National Security Advisor Mike Waltz, is expected to present a blueprint for ending the war through speeches and panel discussions. Additionally, Vice President Vance is reported to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte to discuss ways to end the Ukraine war.


Meanwhile, on the 12th, U.S. President Donald Trump agreed to promptly begin peace negotiations during a phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
