Annual Sales Reach 4 Trillion KRW, Operating Profit Hits 1.1157 Trillion KRW Last Year
'Dungeon & Fighter' Mobile Launch in China Drives Revenue Growth
Nexon achieved strong results with 'Dungeon & Fighter Mobile' and 'First Descendant,' awarding performance bonuses worth approximately 160 billion KRW to key game developers.
According to the gaming industry on the 14th, Nexon's development subsidiary Neople held an online briefing for employees and announced this information. Nexon revealed in its Q4 and annual earnings report released the previous day that it achieved annual sales of 4 trillion KRW, operating profit of 1.1157 trillion KRW, and net profit of 1.2116 trillion KRW.
Nexon's revenue was driven by 'Dungeon & Fighter' Mobile, developed by Neople and launched in the Chinese market in May last year. According to Nexon, sales from the 'Dungeon & Fighter' intellectual property (IP) increased by 53% year-over-year due to the mobile version's release in China. It showed the most remarkable performance among all game IPs.
Nexon Korea, the parent company of Neople, also awarded performance bonuses to key development and operations staff of 'Prasia Jeongi,' 'Dave the Diver,' and 'First Descendant.'
A Nexon representative stated, "To strengthen long-term and sustainable competitiveness, we continue to invest in new development. As part of this, we have been operating a New Development Performance Bonus (GI) system since 2014. Incentives were provided to eligible recipients of the 2024 New Development Performance Bonus under this system."
