Uljin-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, is accepting applications for the '2025 Power Plant Surrounding Area Resident Welfare Support Project Loan Assistance' from the 10th to March 10th to help residents living near the power plant increase their income, improve their living environment, and stabilize their daily lives.
The power plant surrounding areas in Uljin-gun include Uljin-eup, Buk-myeon, and Jukbyeon-myeon. Eligible applicants must be residents with an address in these towns and townships.
The support amount is up to 10 million KRW per household, with an annual interest rate of 1%, a 2-year grace period, and a 5-year equal installment repayment plan. The total loan support budget is 200 million KRW.
Applicants are prioritized in the following order: first-time loan applicants, long-term residents within the surrounding area, those with multiple cohabitants registered in the resident registration, those with many participants in the project, those with a high rate of self-capital investment, income-increasing projects, environmental improvement projects, and other livelihood stabilization projects.
Applications can be submitted at the respective eup/myeon offices, and applicants must verify loan eligibility when obtaining a credit investigation report at the NongHyup Bank Uljin Branch.
County Governor Son Byung-bok stated, “Through this loan support, we hope that residents near the power plant can benefit from low-interest loans and gain vitality in their lives.”
