Cheonan City to Reconstruct Buldang 5 Bridge by End of September

Cheonan City in Chungnam Province announced that the reconstruction work on Jangjaecheon Buldang 5-gyo Bridge will be carried out until September 29.

The reconstruction is being conducted by the Construction Headquarters of Chungnam Province to address flood damage and flood risks caused by urbanization.

Due to the construction, pedestrians and vehicles that previously used the bridge must take detours via the Citizen Sports Park, Oryunmun Square, or the Seobuk-gu Public Health Center direction.

When entering from Beonyeong-ro, a temporary two-lane bridge located 50 meters downstream from the existing bridge (before the hydrogen vehicle charging station) must be used.

The city plans to continue cooperating with Chungnam Province to ensure early completion of the project.

Mayor Park Sangdon said, "This project is an essential measure to prevent flood damage and ensure the safety of our citizens. Although there may be some inconvenience, we ask for your understanding and cooperation," adding, "We will do our utmost to ensure safe construction and minimize inconvenience until the end."
