The Yeosu Institute of Regional Studies at Chonnam National University (Director: Kim Daehyun) announced on the 14th that it has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Institute for the Humanities at Suncheon National University (Director: Kang Seongho) to establish a foundation for academic research exchange and build a network to promote regional studies research.
The Yeosu Institute of Regional Studies at Chonnam National University and the Institute for the Humanities at Suncheon National University held a signing ceremony for the memorandum of understanding on the 7th at the Yeosu campus of Chonnam National University. Through this agreement, the two institutions agreed to strengthen their mutual cooperation by establishing a system for academic exchange and research collaboration between regional studies research institutes.
To this end, they plan to jointly promote academic research cooperation and exchange projects, including: ▲ joint research and academic surveys in the field of regional studies ▲ joint hosting of academic events and exchange of research resources ▲ development and operation of specialized education courses and programs for fostering creative local talent ▲ sharing of research outcomes.
Kim Daehyun, Director of the Yeosu Institute of Regional Studies at Chonnam National University, stated, "Through this agreement, I expect that the two institutions will promote qualitative growth in regional studies research by establishing a close cooperation system," and added, "We will continue to expand the value and role of regional research through ongoing exchanges in the future."
