Up to 4 Million KRW and 80% Facility Improvement Support
13 General Restaurants to Be Selected
Yangsan City in Gyeongnam is recruiting businesses to participate in the ‘General Restaurant Kitchen Hygiene Improvement Project,’ targeting general restaurants with poor kitchen hygiene due to long-term operation.
This project plans to provide funding to repair unsanitary kitchen walls, tiles, and food service facilities (including ventilation fans), with a maximum support amount of 4 million KRW per business. Business owners are required to cover at least 20% of the total project cost.
Eligible applicants are general restaurants located within Yangsan City that have been in operation for more than two years after business registration (or business succession). Businesses that have received administrative sanctions such as suspension of operations within the past year, are currently undergoing such sanctions, or have received overlapping benefits from similar hygiene improvement projects (such as small business management environment improvement projects) within the past five years are excluded from support.
Detailed information about the project and application forms can be found on the city’s website under the ‘Yangsan City - Notices & Announcements’ board. Businesses wishing to participate should prepare the application and required documents and submit them in person to the Hygiene Division or by registered mail.
Na Yusoon, head of the Hygiene Division, stated, “Through this kitchen hygiene improvement project, we expect to alleviate the economic burden on small business owners while creating a dining environment where citizens and tourists can enjoy with peace of mind.”
