Construction Started in January, Completion and Move-in Scheduled for December 2027
Tenant Recruitment for Rental Housing Planned for May 2027
The consortium of Korea Land Trust and Jeil Construction announced on the 14th that they will supply 1,222 units of publicly supported private rental housing in Paju Unjeong New Town.
This complex will be developed on site 513, Dangha-dong, Paju-si, Gyeonggi-do (Paju Unjeong 3 District A3BL) with a maximum height of 29 floors above ground, consisting of 11 buildings and 1,222 units. Construction began last month and completion and move-in are scheduled for the end of 2027.
The consortium of Korea Land Trust and Jeil Construction will supply the rental housing through K-One No.27 Unjeong Punggyeongchae Entrusted Management Real Estate Investment Company, with tenant recruitment planned for May 2027. The rental period will be 10 years starting from February 2027.
With the recent opening of the GTX-A line, accessibility from Paju to downtown Seoul has greatly improved. The section from Paju Unjeong Central Station to Seoul Station has started operation, enabling travel from the northern Gyeonggi region to Seoul in about 20 minutes.
It is easy to use the metropolitan transportation network via the Seoul-Munsan Expressway and the Capital Region 1st Ring Expressway, and accessibility to Cheongju, Daejeon, and Daegu is also excellent through the intercity bus terminal near Unjeong Station.
In front of the complex, Unjeong 1 Middle School is scheduled to open in March 2026, and Byeolharam Elementary School is located within 500 meters of the complex. Residents can conveniently use large parks such as Unjeong Lake Park and Gyoha Central Park, as well as numerous neighborhood parks, and various commercial facilities including large marts are established in the center of Unjeong New Town.
The Paju Unjeong 3 District, where the complex is located, is a core area of Paju Unjeong New Town, adjacent to public offices such as Paju City Hall, so rental demand is expected to be abundant. Back-up demand is also anticipated due to the development of the U.S. military return site, and large-scale business sites such as LG Display have already moved in, allowing for shared infrastructure within the new town.
Korea Land Trust, the asset manager of the REIT, is responsible for discovering and managing major REIT assets in Korea, and last year started publicly supported private rental housing projects in Paju Unjeong 3 District and Incheon Geomdan New Town. The construction company Jeil Construction has actively developed publicly supported private rental housing projects.
A representative of Korea Land Trust said, "Considering location and rental demand, we plan to continuously participate in publicly supported private rental housing projects in the future."
