Pre-order Begins for the High-Performance Ioniq 5 N DK Edition
Developed in Collaboration with Japanese Racer Keiichi Tsuchiya, the 'Drift King'
Hyundai Motor Company announced on the 14th that it will begin pre-orders for the tuned model of the high-performance electric vehicle Ioniq 5 N, the 'Ioniq 5 N DK Edition Limited Package,' starting from the 21st of this month.
The 'Ioniq 5 N DK Edition Limited Package' (hereinafter referred to as DK Edition) is a driving performance enhancement parts package for the Ioniq 5 N. It was first unveiled last month at Japan's largest automotive tuning expo, the '2025 Tokyo Auto Salon,' held in Tokyo.
The DK Edition was developed from the initial stages in collaboration with famous Japanese racer Keiichi Tsuchiya, undergoing various tests on local circuits and winding courses, which attracted significant attention. The name is derived from Tsuchiya Keiichi's nickname, the 'Drift King,' to emphasize the passion and expertise of a motorsports driver.
The DK Edition consists of dedicated parts that enhance driving performance, including ▲ monoblock brake calipers precisely machined from duralumin (a metal mainly used in aircraft manufacturing) ▲ dedicated brake pads with a 54% larger surface area than the existing model to strengthen braking power ▲ 21-inch lightweight forged wheels featuring a special serrated machining structure on the wheel and tire seating surfaces to minimize slippage between the wheel and tire during high-speed driving ▲ and lowering springs that lower the vehicle's center of gravity to improve driving stability.
The Ioniq 5 N exclusive tuning package DK Edition will be sold in a limited quantity of 50 units globally, starting with Korea and Japan. The selling price is 24.5 million KRW (including VAT), and it is scheduled for official release within the first half of this year.
