Daewoo E&C announced on the 14th that it has launched an in-house organization called the ‘Eusseuk (ESG)’ working group to achieve performance in the environmental, social, and governance (ESG) fields.
The group serves as a communication channel to encourage company employees to participate in internal campaigns, including responding to external regulations such as sustainability disclosures and inclusion in the greenhouse gas emissions trading system. To widely promote a culture of donations in daily life, they decided to introduce the Together Eusseuk Walking Challenge. This program donates based on the number of steps employees take, using a smartphone application that donates when the targeted number of steps is achieved.
The company expects that all employees can participate regardless of time and place constraints, contributing to individual health habits and carbon neutrality. A Daewoo E&C official said, "Following last year, we will encourage many employees to participate again this year and strive to practice sustainable management in daily life."
