Kang Su-hyun, mayor of Yangju City, Gyeonggi Province, attended the '2025 Child Caregiver Training and Workshop' held on the morning of the 13th at the 'Yangju Daullim Center 1st Floor Small Theater' in the district, encouraging the child caregivers who are working hard to balance work and family life and urging them to provide meticulous care for the children.

The city supports care services that fill the childcare gap for children from 3 months to under 12 years old, and as of last year, 192 child caregivers took care of 1,252 children in 725 households.

This event, hosted by the Yangju City Family Center (Director Lee Eun-soon), was organized to prevent recurrence of similar cases following recent child abuse incidents by child caregivers in other regions and to strengthen the capabilities of child caregivers.

In particular, education on child abuse prevention and children's rights will be intensively covered. A total of 192 child caregivers will attend until the 14th, engaging in in-depth discussions aimed at improving the quality of child care, including learning prevention measures based on practical cases and ways to handle potential problems that may arise during the caregiving process.

Mayor Kang Su-hyun said, "In modern society where dual-income families are increasing, child care services are essential, and your meticulous care plays a key role in supporting the healthy growth of children and the stable economic activities of parents."

He added, "I ask you to think of each child as your own son or grandson and to care for them with love and sincerity."
