SH Corporation, Pre-Inspection for Prospective Residents of Dapsimni 17 District in Dongdaemun-gu

SH Corporation, Pre-Inspection for Prospective Residents of Dapsimni 17 District in Dongdaemun-gu Residents scheduled to move in and specialized move-in support managers are inspecting defects inside the units of the residential redevelopment maintenance project in Zone 17, Dapsimni, Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul. Seoul Housing and Communities Corporation (SH Corporation) announced on the 13th that it held a pre-inspection event by inviting 326 households scheduled to move into the Dapsimni 17th District Housing Redevelopment Project.

During the event held on the 8th and 9th, SH Corporation accompanied move-in management managers for the pre-inspection to guide the inspection methods and enabled real-time monitoring of whether issues were addressed by immediately capturing and sending defect details through a mobile application.

The pre-inspection for prospective residents is a procedure where residents directly check and inspect the construction status of apartment facilities before moving in.

The Dapsimni 17th District Housing Redevelopment Project is a development to construct a total of 326 units of sale and rental housing across six buildings ranging from two basement floors to 21 above-ground floors at 12 Dapsimni-dong, Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul. Move-in is scheduled to begin at the end of March this year. Since 2011, SH Corporation has been the sole project implementer, managing everything from planning and design to construction.

The complex is named "e-Pyeonhansesang Dapsimni Artefore" and includes auxiliary welfare facilities and neighborhood living facilities. Various specialized community facilities for residents such as a fitness center, small library, children's drop-off and pick-up area, multipurpose room, and shared storage will also be established.

SH Corporation expects this project to gain attention as a public-private collaboration model. As a public enterprise, SH Corporation comprehensively managed the private construction project, reducing concerns about various business losses such as construction cost increases and real estate market downturns, and also cut project costs through direct supervision.

In particular, by directly verifying construction costs, SH Corporation prevented disputes over construction costs or work stoppages, unlike many redevelopment sites recently experiencing conflicts.

Hwang Sang-ha, President of SH Corporation, stated, "Based on 36 years of accumulated expertise and know-how, we will fulfill our responsibilities and roles to stabilize Seoul’s housing market by continuing to promote high-quality public housing construction and various public-private collaboration project models."
