Leading the Creation of a Clean and Pleasant Public Hygiene Service Environment
Yeongju City, Gyeongbuk Province (Mayor Park Nam-seo) will recruit businesses eligible for the 'Public Hygiene Facility Improvement Project' from the 14th to the 28th to create a clean and pleasant public hygiene environment.
This project aims to improve the facilities of aging beauty salons and laundries to enhance the quality of public hygiene services and alleviate the economic burden on business owners.
First implemented last year, the project was initially limited to aging beauty salons but has been expanded this year to include laundries, covering a total of three business types. Additionally, the co-payment ratio for subsidy recipients has been reduced from 30% to 20% to lessen the burden on business owners.
Eligible applicants are beauty salons and laundries registered with the Yeongju City business registration and tax office. Selected businesses can receive up to 4 million KRW per business for facility improvement costs.
The scope of support includes ▲replacement of exterior signs ▲floor repairs inside the business premises ▲replacement of lighting and water heaters, among other maintenance of aging facilities, aiming to create a safer and more hygienic environment.
Businesses wishing to participate can submit their application forms in person at the Yeongju City Public Health Center’s Health and Hygiene Division from the 14th to the 28th. For more details, please refer to the announcements on the Yeongju City Hall and Yeongju City Public Health Center websites or contact the Health and Hygiene Division of the Yeongju City Public Health Center.
Kim Moon-su, Director of the Public Health Center, stated, “Through this project, we aim to reduce the economic burden on business owners and create a hygienic business environment so that citizens can enjoy cleaner and safer public hygiene services.”
