Hankuk University of Foreign Studies to Present Proud HUFS Alumni Award at 2025 General Alumni Meeting

Hong Kwanghee and Seo Kyunggyo Honored for Contributions to Their Alma Mater

The Hankuk University of Foreign Studies Alumni Association announced on the 18th that it successfully held the 2025 Hankuk University of Foreign Studies Alumni Association General Meeting and the 'Proud HUFSian Award' ceremony.

Hong Kwanghee (left), CEO of New Korea Promotion Co., and Seo Kyunggyo (right), professor of Political Science and Diplomacy at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, were selected as recipients of the "Proud HUFS Alumni Award" and the "Proud HUFS Contribution Award."

The event, held on the 13th (Thursday) at the Sapphire Ballroom on the 3rd floor of Lotte Hotel Seoul, selected awardees in two categories.

Hong Kwanghee, CEO of New Korea Promotion (Spanish Interpretation and Translation, Class of '83), was honored with the 'Proud HUFSian Award' in recognition of his contributions to improving Korea's import system and enhancing national interests. Professor Seo Kyunggyo of the Department of Political Science and Diplomacy (Political Science and Diplomacy, Class of '78) received the 'Proud HUFS Service Award' for his 28 years and 6 months of dedication to nurturing future scholars and elevating the university's prestige.

Yang Injip, president of the Alumni Association, stated, "Through this award ceremony, we aim to re-highlight the social contributions of HUFSians and accelerate the development of our alma mater by strengthening the HUFS alumni network in the future."
