The Ioniq 9 has the same dimensions as the Palisade, with a length of 5060mm and a width of 1980mm, but its height is slightly lower at 1790mm compared to the Palisade's 1805mm. It is equipped with a 110.3kWh NCM (Nickel-Cobalt-Manganese) battery produced by SK On, offering a driving range of 532km on a single full charge (based on 19-inch wheels, 2WD), the longest among Hyundai's electric vehicle lineup.

To enhance the battery safety of the Ioniq 9, Hyundai proactively applied the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's battery safety certification pilot program, which is scheduled to be mandatory in 2026. The battery safety certification system requires electric vehicle batteries to be pre-certified for safety by the government, following safety performance tests conducted by the Korea Automotive Technology Institute.

The selling prices of the Ioniq 9 are as follows: for the 7-seater ▲Exclusive 67.15 million KRW ▲Prestige 73.15 million KRW ▲Calligraphy 77.92 million KRW; and for the 6-seater ▲Exclusive 69.03 million KRW ▲Prestige 74.64 million KRW ▲Calligraphy 79.41 million KRW. Considering national and local subsidies, the purchase price is expected to be in the mid-60 million KRW range.

Chulmin Lee, Executive Director of Domestic Marketing at Hyundai Motor Company, stated at the Ioniq 9 media experience event held on the 11th at the Grand Walkerhill Seoul in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, "There has been a temporary demand stagnation known as the electric vehicle chasm recently, but we set a reasonable price to overcome this and lead electric vehicle leadership." He added, "The sales target for the Ioniq 9 this year is 6,500 units."

Regarding the automotive tariff risks recently announced by U.S. President Donald Trump, Hyundai plans to overcome them through local production. Lee explained, "Domestic sales of the Ioniq 9 will be produced domestically, and U.S. sales will be produced locally in the U.S. to bypass tariff policies. However, models sold in Europe and other regions will all be produced domestically."

To commemorate the launch of the Ioniq 9, Hyundai will conduct advertising campaigns and various marketing programs. The advertisement video showcases the Ioniq 9’s spacious interior and flexible seat utilization, as well as the use of the 110.3kWh battery to freely power electronic devices, conveying the value of the vehicle as a place to 'live in' rather than just 'ride in.'

A customer promotion event where visitors can experience the Ioniq 9 and receive purchase consultations will be held until the 16th at the Grand Walkerhill’s Light Theater. Visitors can see exhibition vehicles and customization products, as well as test drive the vehicle and receive purchase consultations.

Hyundai plans to offer various prizes, including BOSE Limited Edition speakers, through a lottery for customers who sign a contract for the Ioniq 9 by the 28th and take delivery by June. Test drive programs will also be operated at major exhibition centers nationwide, including Seoul, Busan, and Incheon, where customers can receive detailed explanations about the Ioniq 9’s features and experience driving the vehicle.

Through the 'EV Everycare' integrated care service tailored to the electric vehicle lifecycle, Hyundai provides various benefits from purchase to ownership of the Ioniq 9. If the vehicle is sold as a used car between 2 and 3 years after delivery and the customer purchases a new Hyundai vehicle again, up to 55% of the vehicle purchase price will be guaranteed as residual value.

Meanwhile, Hyundai has opened the Bluelink Store in conjunction with the launch of the Ioniq 9, allowing customers to add desired digital features. At the Bluelink Store, customers can purchase options such as Remote Smart Parking Assist 2, lighting patterns, display themes, and virtual gear shifting.
