The Only Hotel in Korea Named Five-Star for Seven Consecutive Years
Praised for Personalized Service and Exceptional Dining Experiences
Seoul Shilla Hotel announced on the 13th that it has been named a Five-Star Hotel by Forbes Travel Guide for the seventh consecutive year, making it the only hotel in Korea to achieve this distinction.
Celebrating its 67th anniversary this year, Forbes Travel Guide is a globally recognized authority that evaluates and ranks hotels, restaurants, and spas. Anonymous inspectors visit hotels around the world each year to assess facilities and services based on nearly 900 strict and objective criteria, then announce the results by awarding Five-Star, Four-Star, and Recommended ratings.
On February 12 (local time in the United States) at 9 a.m., Forbes Travel Guide officially announced the "2025 Forbes Travel Guide" on its website, selecting Seoul Shilla Hotel as a Five-Star Hotel.
Forbes Travel Guide began evaluating Korean hotels in 2017. Seoul Shilla Hotel was first awarded Four Stars in 2017, rose to Five Stars in 2019, and has maintained its Five-Star status for seven consecutive years.
The reasons for the selection included: ▲ personalized service for each guest, and ▲ outstanding restaurants.
The hotel's seamless relay of guest services from check-in to check-out, along with its sincere and thoughtful approach, received high marks. The guest rooms, which are tailored and prepared according to individual guest requests, were also highly rated. In terms of restaurants, the all-day dining restaurant "The Parkview" was praised for its friendly customer service, use of fresh seasonal ingredients, and fine-dining-level menu quality.
Currently, Seoul Shilla Hotel operates a variety of restaurants, including one all-day dining restaurant, one bar & lounge, and four fine dining restaurants. In addition to The Parkview, the offerings include: ▲ "The Library," a bar & lounge featuring live performances and premium beverages; ▲ "La Yeon," a world-renowned Korean restaurant; ▲ "Continental," a French restaurant known as a popular proposal spot; ▲ "Ariake," an authentic Japanese restaurant; and ▲ "Palsun," a Chinese restaurant.
In particular, all four fine dining restaurants are recognized as representing Korea's culinary excellence. All four have been listed in "LA LISTE," the prestigious global gastronomy guide published by the French government, and Seoul Shilla Hotel has been invited to official events in Paris to showcase Korean cuisine.
A representative from Seoul Shilla Hotel stated, "We are grateful to be selected as a Five-Star Hotel for seven consecutive years by such a prestigious global authority," adding, "We will continue to offer the best products and services tailored to our customers' needs."
