Strong Response to Ongoing Blackmail and Privacy Invasion
Actor Son Naeun has revealed that she is being blackmailed after her personal mobile phone was hacked.
On February 12, YG Entertainment released an official statement saying, "Recently, Son Naeun's personal mobile phone was hacked," and added, "The hacker demanded money in exchange for not disclosing illegally obtained data."
The agency continued, "Son Naeun complied with the demand once, as she did not want her family and acquaintances to be harmed," and added, "However, the hacker did not stop there and continued to blackmail her, demanding additional money."
The agency emphasized, "The hacker has contacted not only the actor herself but also her family members, causing psychological distress. The case is currently under official police investigation. We will take strong legal action against criminal acts such as blackmail and invasion of privacy."
They also requested, "As the investigation is ongoing, we ask that you refrain from reporting unverified information."
Meanwhile, Son Naeun debuted in 2011 as a member of the girl group Apink. She left the group in 2022 and has since been active as an actress. Most recently, she appeared in the JTBC drama 'Mrs. Ok's Tale.'
