Goyang Emerges as a New K-pop World Tour Hub
Recognized by Global Stars Like Coldplay and Kanye West for Its Top-Class Infrastructure
City Accelerates Preparations with Integrated Administrative, Safety, and Transportation Support Systems
Goyang Special City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Donghwan) announced on February 13 that the first performances of global artist G-DRAGON's world tour, "Ubermensch," will be held at Goyang Sports Complex on March 29 and 30.
This concert is one of the achievements resulting from Goyang City's ongoing efforts to attract large-scale performances. It also marks Coupang Play's first collaboration of this kind, representing a meaningful first step toward establishing Goyang as a global entertainment city.
The event will be held under the title "G-DRAGON 2025 World Tour 'Ubermensch' in Korea with Coupang Play." As the presenting partner for the Korean concert, Coupang Play plans to showcase G-DRAGON's unique musical style and performances.
Starting with this event, Coupang Play will continue to offer differentiated live concert content and collaborate with Goyang City to help develop the city into a global entertainment hub.
Goyang Sports Complex, a proven venue chosen by global artists such as Kanye West, Coldplay, and Oasis, is now establishing itself as the starting point for world tours by major K-pop artists and is emerging as a new center of Korea's concert culture.
In addition to this concert, Goyang City will provide comprehensive support for the successful hosting of upcoming large-scale events, including Coldplay's concert in Korea. On February 26, Mayor Lee Donghwan will preside over the "Goyang City Large-Scale Performance Attraction Project Administrative Support Measures Briefing," where more than 40 departments and related organizations will participate to establish an integrated administrative support system.

The briefing will cover detailed administrative support plans for each area, including traffic and parking measures, safety management, environment and sanitation, and publicity.
In particular, the city will establish close cooperation with related organizations such as Ilsan Western Police Station, Ilsan Fire Station, and Korea Railroad Corporation to ensure thorough preparations for a safe and convenient concert experience for all attendees.
A city official stated, "The fact that world tours by global K-pop artists are starting in Goyang through collaboration with innovative OTT services like Coupang Play is a significant achievement, marking our city's advancement as a global entertainment hub. We will successfully host this concert through systematic administrative support, and continue to strengthen our position as a world-class performance hub city by collaborating with various global partners in the future."
Meanwhile, the G-DRAGON WORLD TOUR [Ubermensch] will begin in Goyang and continue to major cities around the world, meeting fans worldwide.
Tickets for the Korean concerts will be sold exclusively through the Coupang Play mobile app, with fan club presales starting on the 26th, followed by general sales beginning on the 27th.
