30 Award Recipients Selected
for Practicing Neighborly Love
Including Companies, Organizations, and Individuals
On February 12, Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam held the "2024 Social Contribution Neighbor Assistance Award Ceremony" at the Citizens' Hall.
Hong Nampyo, Changwon Special Mayor, Presented with a Plaque of Appreciation for Outstanding Contribution to Neighborly Love Sharing Practice in 2024.
The event was organized to honor and express gratitude to individuals who contributed to the practice and spread of a culture of sharing for neighbors in need throughout 2024.
For their participation in social contribution and neighbor assistance activities during 2024, 13 companies, 7 organizations, and 10 individuals were selected as award recipients.
Donations and goods collected through the participation of various sectors of the local community in social contribution projects over the past year were delivered to neighbors in need, providing essential living expenses, heating costs, scholarships, and daily necessities.
The mother of Gong Eunho, the youngest award recipient at age three, said, "We decided to donate the first birthday celebration gifts and allowance received from family and relatives, hoping it would help children from families in need. Receiving a plaque of appreciation for such a meaningful donation made the sharing even more special. I will continue to raise my child to practice even greater generosity in the future."
Hong Nampyo, Mayor of Changwon, stated, "I am grateful to the award recipients who have consistently practiced neighborly love despite challenging economic conditions. I ask for your continued interest and participation. I will do my utmost to ensure Changwon becomes a warm and happy city where no one is left behind."
