The resolution meeting was held with the attendance of Chairman Kim Byung-gi, Yeongju City Council members, the secretary-general, and the secretariat staff.

The participating council members and staff read aloud the Integrity Practice Pledge, promising to perform their duties fairly, and shouted integrity practice slogans together, pledging to realize a Yeongju City Council trusted by citizens through integrity.

The Yeongju City Council received a low score in the comprehensive integrity evaluation conducted by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission in 2024. Reflecting on this, they pledged to implement a clean Yeongju City Council and vowed before the citizens to approach their legislative activities with a renewed mindset.

Additionally, the council decided to actively engage in legislative promotional activities to improve the overall integrity of the Yeongju City Council and to gain trust from the citizens.

To this end, they plan to implement various policies including ▲strengthening the foundation for anti-corruption and integrity practice ▲inspecting and supplementing corruption-prone areas ▲spreading a culture of eradicating corruption and practicing integrity ▲and realizing a transparent and fair council trusted by the public through fair and transparent work processes.

Chairman Kim Byung-gi stated, “Integrity is the foundation and social responsibility that our council members’ legislative activities and staff’s public service must fulfill,” and added, “The Yeongju City Council will take the lead in realizing a council trusted by citizens through fairness and integrity that citizens can feel and trust.”
