Yeongju City Council to Open the 289th Extraordinary Session on the 12th

Nine Agenda Items to Be Addressed This Year, Including Business Reports and Ordinance Bills

The Yeongju City Council in Gyeongbuk Province will begin the 289th extraordinary session with the 1st plenary meeting on the 12th and continue the schedule for nine days until the 20th.

At the 289th extraordinary session, the first session of this year, a total of nine agenda items will be addressed, including the 2025 business report, six ordinance bills, and two reports.


Ordinance bills initiated by council members include ▲Partial amendment to the Yeongju City Council Residents' Ordinance Initiative Ordinance (led by Councilor Kim Se-yeon, People Power Party, proportional representation) ▲Ordinance on Yeongju City National Heritage Keeper Activities (led by Councilor Kim Ju-young, People Power Party, District B, Punggi-eup, Anjeong and Bonghyeon-myeon) ▲Ordinance on Support for Management of Small-scale Multi-family Housing in Yeongju City (led by Councilor Kim Byung-chang, People Power Party, District D, Gahung 1 and 2-dong).


Chairman Kim Byung-gi stated, "Since this extraordinary session will discuss major administrative work plans of Yeongju City, I hope the council members will thoroughly review to ensure that key pending projects are well planned and systematically promoted," and added, "I urge the executive branch to make thorough preparations and efforts so that the planned projects proceed without any setbacks."


As the agenda items to be discussed at this extraordinary session will determine the important direction of Yeongju City's future administrative operations, the Yeongju City Council plans to continue active deliberations and discussions reflecting the opinions of citizens.
