Daegu Shinbo Provides 105 Billion Won Guarantee Support to SMEs and Small Business Owners... KB Kookmin Bank, Hana Bank, KakaoBank Sign Business Agreement

Daegu Credit Guarantee Foundation (Chairman Park Jin-woo) announced on the 12th that it has signed financial support agreements with Kookmin Bank, Hana Bank, and KakaoBank, respectively, and plans to support a total of 105 billion KRW in agreement guarantees using the agreement contributions of 3.5 billion KRW from Kookmin Bank, 2 billion KRW from Hana Bank, and 1.5 billion KRW from KakaoBank as funding.


According to this agreement, Kookmin Bank made a special contribution of 3.5 billion KRW and Hana Bank 2 billion KRW to Daegu Credit Guarantee Foundation, which started the ‘SME and Small Business Financial Support Agreement Guarantee’ worth 52.5 billion KRW (KB Kookmin) and 30 billion KRW (Hana), respectively, from the 11th, which is 15 times the contribution amount.

The support targets are SMEs and small business owners in Daegu city, providing funds within a maximum limit of 400 million KRW. Daegu Credit Guarantee Foundation offers preferential guarantee rates (90~100%) and preferential guarantee fees (fixed annual rate of 0.9%) to companies eligible for the agreement guarantee, and if linked with Daegu city’s business stabilization funds, interest support benefits (1.3%~2.2%) can be received for one year.


According to the agreement, KakaoBank made a special contribution of 1.5 billion KRW to Daegu Credit Guarantee Foundation, which has been implementing the ‘KakaoBank Daegu City Win-Win Agreement Guarantee’ worth 22.5 billion KRW, 15 times the contribution amount, since the 10th.


The support targets are SMEs and small business owners in Daegu city with a representative’s personal credit score of 595 or higher, providing funds within a maximum limit of 100 million KRW. The guarantee fee is fixed at an annual rate of 0.9%, and in particular, KakaoBank plans to reduce the financial burden on companies by supporting 50% of the guarantee fee for customers who have executed guarantee loans through KakaoBank.


Park Jin-woo, Chairman of Daegu Credit Guarantee Foundation, said, “I would like to express my gratitude to each financial institution that reached out to support local SMEs and small business owners facing difficult management environments,” and added, “The foundation will continue to expand its role in supporting small business financing in cooperation with banks and related organizations.”
