Twelve in-person training sessions and six online content offerings to be provided
Gwangjin-gu (Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) has signed an agreement with Sejong Cyber University (President Shin Gu) for cooperation in artificial intelligence (AI) education exchange and will expand education for district office employees.
The district will actively utilize the university's excellent educational resources to provide both face-to-face and online education to enhance employees' administrative utilization capabilities in the AI field.
First, on the 11th, the district invited Professor Kim Deok-jin, head of the AI Education Center at Sejong Cyber University, to the Gwangjin-gu Office auditorium to deliver a keynote lecture titled "2025 AI Trends and New Changes in Administration." The lecture, which covered trends in the AI field and demonstrations of image, text, and video generation using AI, was attended by about 350 district office employees, showing high interest in AI.
Starting from this, a total of 12 face-to-face training sessions will be held twice a month from this month through July.
▲ Using AI search to assist work ▲ Creating multimedia promotional materials with AI ▲ Experiencing AI tools that help with various tasks throughout the district ? professors from Sejong Cyber University will conduct these trainings directly. Customized online educational content for employees will be provided once a month for a total of six sessions.
In addition, reflecting employees' opinions, the district plans to increase informatization education in the AI field from the current 80 hours per year to 148 hours per year, thereby raising interest and understanding of AI utilization.
Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, said, "I saw an article stating that if AI is used well, South Korea's GDP could increase by up to 13% over the next 10 years," adding, "We expanded AI education so that employees can quickly respond to changes in the era and actively use new AI technologies in administration. We will continue to strive to become a smart Gwangjin that communicates and develops toward a better future."
