Jeollanam-do is accepting applications for the soil conditioner support project, which is supplied every three years from 2026 to 2028, until the 20th in order to promote sustainable eco-friendly agriculture through soil improvement.

The soil conditioner support project aims to improve soil and build a foundation for practicing eco-friendly agriculture by supplying silicate fertilizers and lime fertilizers to soils deficient in silicate (available silicate content less than 157ppm) and acidic soils (pH less than 6.5).

This year, a total of 10,500 tons of soil conditioners, including 67,000 tons of silicate and 38,000 tons of lime, will be supplied with a project budget of 19.8 billion won.

The eligible recipients are farmlands registered in the agricultural management information system. If the location or cultivation area of the farmland has changed, an application for change of registration information must be submitted to the National Agricultural Products Quality Management Service. The types of soil conditioners available for application are silicate fertilizers and lime fertilizers (lime, dolomite, and oyster shell lime). Applications for the total amount to be supplied over the three years from 2026 to 2028 will be received at once, and the supply will be made annually according to the confirmed quantities.

Farmers wishing to apply should submit the required amount of soil conditioner, including the area of agricultural management, to the administrative welfare center (Eup, Myeon, Dong) with jurisdiction over the farmland location.

Kim Youngseok, Director of the Eco-Friendly Agriculture Division, said on the 12th, "In order to produce high-quality agricultural products, it is essential to use soil conditioners to improve soil fertility," and urged, "Please make sure to apply within the deadline so that you are not excluded from the free supply of soil conditioners."
