Korea Import Association Discusses Cooperation Plans with Party Secretary of Yancheng City, China

"Efforts to Expand Business Opportunities"

The Korea Importers Association (KOIMA) announced on the 12th that on the 11th, it held discussions on expanding trade and cooperation between the two countries with a delegation led by Zhu Bin, Party Secretary of Yancheng City, China, at the association's main conference room in Seocho-gu, Seoul.


Zhu Bin, Party Secretary of Yancheng City, expressed gratitude to the association for opening a business platform between the two countries through the dispatch of the Yancheng City import delegation last July. He stated, "We will prioritize trade with Korea and strive to expand it." He added, "We look forward to various companies from both countries broadening the scope of cooperation and further enhancing trade levels at the Korea Import Fair (KIF) this coming July."

Kwon Ki-chang, Executive Vice President of the Korea Importers Association, emphasized, "Korea-China trade has continuously developed over the years, and at this time when uncertainties in the global supply chain are intensifying, the importance of cooperation between the two countries is growing even more."


He continued, "As several Korean companies, including Kia, have entered China, particularly Yancheng City, and achieved good results, the association will actively support expanding more business opportunities with Yancheng City."
