The Constitutional Court stated that no decision has been made yet regarding the designation of additional hearing dates for the impeachment trial of President Yoon Seok-yeol. The last scheduled hearing date so far is the 8th session on the 13th.
On the morning of the 12th, Cheon Jae-hyun, the Constitutional Court spokesperson, responded to reporters' questions at the regular briefing, saying, "Is tomorrow the last hearing for this case, and has an additional date been set?" with "No information has been received yet."
When asked whether the hearings might conclude this week, Cheon replied, "I don't know." Regarding whether an additional hearing would be scheduled to hear the final statement from the respondent (President Yoon) if the hearing ends tomorrow, he said, "That is not a fixed procedure and may vary depending on the court's judgment."
On the 10th, the Constitutional Court announced that it has not yet decided whether to accept the witnesses requested by President Yoon's side, including Kang Ui-gu, Chief of the First Secretariat of the Presidential Office; Park Kyung-sun, former director of Seoul Eastern Detention Center; and Shin Yong-hae, head of the Correction Headquarters at the Ministry of Justice.
Meanwhile, President Yoon's team has appointed three additional lawyers. The Constitutional Court stated, "Lawyers Kim Ji-min, Jeon Byung-kwan, and Bae Jin-hyeok have been added to President Yoon's legal team, bringing the total number of his legal representatives to 22."
