Daegu City announced on the 12th that it is accelerating preparations for the successful hosting of the '2025 12th Daegu International Beauty Expo,' the largest beauty expo in the Yeongnam and Honam regions, held for three days from May 15 to 17 at EXCO East Hall, and is recruiting participating companies.
Marking its 12th edition, the Daegu International Beauty Expo is an event where companies from various fields such as cosmetics, hair, nails, esthetics, beauty devices, and men's styling products participate to promote their products and seek business opportunities.
A total of 130 companies and 200 booths will be available, and applications from domestic and international beauty companies will be accepted until mid-April.
The export consultation meeting last year attracted 32 companies from 15 countries, achieving a contract promotion amount of 9.38 million USD, receiving great response.
This year, through a prior demand survey, buyers from countries desired by participating companies will be selected first, and more in-depth consultations will be conducted over two days, May 15 and 16, through one-on-one business matching.
Additionally, a purchase consultation meeting composed of 20 major social commerce companies including CJ ENM, Lotte and Hyundai Home Shopping, Coupang, and 11st will be held on May 17.
In particular, within the expo hall, legal hygiene education for three public health organizations including beauticians, and the Daegu Mayor's Cup 4 Major Beauty Competitions will be expanded, with about 4,000 participants expected.
It is expected that the network between beauty companies and the local beauty industry will be revitalized as beauty industry business owners participating in education and events visit booths directly to purchase or make contracts.
Furthermore, participating companies can apply on a first-come, first-served basis for the new product and new technology briefing sessions to promote their products, and can also participate in exhibition booth tours and interview live show events with Miss Daegu candidates.

Early application discounts of 300,000 KRW are available for the first round until March 7, and a 200,000 KRW discount for the second round until March 31, along with a 300,000 KRW discount for returning companies.
