Naju City in Jeollanam-do announced on the 12th that it has been selected for the second consecutive year as an implementing institution for the "Child Abuse Prevention and Early Support Pilot Project" organized by the Ministry of Health and Welfare.

The "Child Abuse Prevention and Early Support Pilot Project" is a customized support program targeting families in crisis to protect children and households in urgent need of assistance before determining whether abuse has occurred. The project aims to prevent child abuse by resolving family conflicts and providing parenting coaching.

To successfully implement the pilot project, the city signed a business agreement with the Jeonnam Central Child Protection Agency on the 10th.

The two organizations agreed to cooperate in the early identification and prompt support of households at risk of child abuse in the region, and to work together to establish a more robust safety network.

Through this agreement, the city plans to create an environment where children can grow up healthy by carrying out effective projects such as identifying and supporting at-risk households, providing professional parenting coaching, and operating family relationship improvement programs.

Ha Sunhye, head of the Family and Children Division, said, "Naju City will do its best to make Naju a place where all children can grow up safely and healthily."
