Nadella, MS CEO, to Visit Korea Next Month... Keynote Speech at 'Microsoft AI Tour' AFP Yonhap News

Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft (MS), will visit Seoul next month. He will participate as a keynote speaker at the 'Microsoft AI Tour in Seoul' held on March 26. During his visit, he is also expected to meet with representatives of domestic companies to discuss cooperation related to artificial intelligence (AI).

According to MS on the 12th, MS will hold the Microsoft AI Tour in Seoul at the Yangjae aT Center on March 26. This event, held in major cities worldwide, introduces MS's new AI technologies and market trends. Although it was held once last April, CEO Nadella did not attend in person. This will be his first visit to Korea in over two years since November 2022. Information about the event can be found on the 'Microsoft AI Tour' website page.

At this year's event, CEO Nadella will deliver the keynote speech, sharing his thoughts on how the rapidly advancing and open 'new AI era' is changing the way people live and work globally, including in the Asia region. Jo Won-woo, CEO of Microsoft Korea, is also expected to attend, and Thomas Dohmke, CEO of GitHub, will visit Korea to lead key sessions and workshops.

Industry insiders expect that during his visit, CEO Nadella will continue meetings with domestic companies for AI technology cooperation. In particular, last September, MS announced a business cooperation plan with KT focusing on establishing an AX (AI Transformation) specialized company, developing Korea-specific AI solutions, and promoting Korean-style cloud services, so a meeting between the two company heads is anticipated. However, Microsoft Korea stated, "We are unable to confirm anything beyond the information disclosed on the website."
