Psychiatrist Dr. Oh Eun-young has shared her position regarding the closure of the clinic she operated.
On the 11th, Dr. Oh opened her statement on her blog by saying, "I think many people were surprised to see news articles based on the information posted on the website before I had a chance to speak about Oh Eun-young Clinic."
Previously, the 'Oh Eun-young Clinic' announced on its official website that "medical services will end as of February 10, 2025," and expressed gratitude by saying, "Thank you to everyone who has supported and helped us." The clinic had provided treatment for various conditions such as stress counseling, anxiety disorders, eating disorders, and depression. Following the news of the clinic's closure, speculative reports about the reasons behind it surfaced.
Regarding this, Dr. Oh stated, "Oh Eun-young Clinic, which has been operating in Suwon since 2003, will end medical services on February 10, 2025, and is preparing to relocate and reopen at a new location."
She added, "At the initial notice on the Oh Eun-young Clinic website, only the closure was announced, which seems to have caused misunderstandings," and apologized, saying, "I am sorry for the confusion." Furthermore, she concluded her message by saying, "Oh Eun-young Academy in Gangnam, Suwon, and Pangyo are operating normally, and we will prepare well to meet you at a new place in the future."
Meanwhile, Dr. Oh, who completed her bachelor's degree at Yonsei University College of Medicine, a master's degree in psychiatry at Yonsei University Graduate School, and a doctoral program in psychiatry at Korea University Graduate School, gained recognition as a child expert through her appearance on SBS's 'Our Child Has Changed.' Since then, she has appeared on various counseling-based entertainment programs such as 'Oh Eun-young's Golden Counseling Center' and 'Oh Eun-young Report - Marriage Hell,' earning the nickname 'National Mentor.'
