Family companies are a system in which the university supports companies with research and development, technical resources, etc., to promote industry-academia cooperation.

The exhibition, held from the 2nd to the 6th at the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Center (BITEC) in Thailand, is a nationwide event held annually during the same period to commemorate Thailand Inventors' Day, organized by the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), an agency directly under the Thai King.

This year, 690 inventions from 22 countries worldwide were exhibited, and awards were given based on evaluations of innovation, marketability, functionality/practicality, and design through on-site judging and committee meetings.

Pusan National University participated in this exhibition as part of the ‘PNU Family Company Global Program,’ organized by the university’s Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation and the LINC 3.0 Project Group, to introduce the excellent technologies and inventions of family companies overseas and to pioneer overseas markets, achieving five awards in total.

Pusan National University family company 'NeuroCircuit' showcased two inventions: ‘Diagnostic Server and Diagnostic Program for Hair Loss Evaluation’ and ‘Hair Loss Diagnosis Method and System Using Artificial Intelligence,’ both recognized for their technological excellence and awarded gold medals.

Also, Pusan National University family company 'Yuju' submitted ‘Underwater Concrete Block Structure Construction Method,’ an innovative technology in the marine structure construction field, receiving both a gold medal and a special prize. Additionally, it attracted attention from representatives of various inventors’ associations in countries such as the Philippines and Malaysia, creating an opportunity to explore the Southeast Asian market.

‘D-Live,’ a family company founded by current students in 2024, also participated in the exhibition and won a gold medal for its ‘Real-time Driving Score Calculation System Using OBD.’ Furthermore, through negotiations with the graduate school dean of Songkhla University in Thailand, who participated in the judging, it achieved a foothold for entering the Thai market.

Pusan National University plans to continuously support opportunities to identify diverse global market demands through participation in international exhibitions of inventions by family companies with excellent technology in the Busan area and student startup companies, forming networks with overseas buyers, technology cooperation partners, and investors, and creating long-term global cooperation opportunities.
