Applications Accepted Until the 20th
85 Million KRW in Subsidies Available
Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province announced on the 11th that it will be accepting applications for a private organization support project until the 20th to promote public interest activities in the fields of women, children, and families.
This call for applications targets three areas: ▲promotion of women's social participation and rights ▲promotion of children's rights ▲enhancement of family relationships, encouragement of marriage and childbirth, and support for multicultural families to settle in the region. A total subsidy of 85 million KRW will be provided.
Eligible applicants are non-profit private organizations and corporations carrying out public interest activities within the province, with at least one year of experience in the relevant field, and able to cover at least 10% of the subsidy as self-contribution. Additionally, the beneficiary scope of the supported project must cover at least two cities or counties.
However, organizations that did not faithfully carry out public interest activities last year, those that have received support for the same or similar projects for five consecutive years with the same or similar project for more than three years, and organizations found to have committed illegal acts related to group activities will be excluded from support.
From this year, the self-contribution requirement has changed from "at least 10% of the total project cost" to "at least 10% of the subsidy," and the restriction on support for the same or similar projects has been adjusted from "five consecutive years of support" to "five consecutive years of support for the same or similar project for more than three years."
Applications must be submitted in person or by mail to the Women and Family Division of Jeonbuk Province by 6 p.m. on the 20th.
After preliminary departmental review and checking for similar or duplicate projects, the Local Subsidy Management Committee will make the final decision on whether and how much subsidy will be provided. The results will be announced on the Jeonbuk Province website at the end of March, and individual notifications will also be sent.
Kim Jeong, head of the Women and Family Division of Jeonbuk Province, said, "Through this call for applications, we will support various non-profit private organizations to have the opportunity to carry out public interest activities," adding, "We will thoroughly manage the selected organizations so that they can operate their projects responsibly and will continue to discover and support a variety of new programs."
