On the same day, Deloitte Korea Group stated, "Following the inauguration of the second Trump administration, the tariff war initiated by the U.S. has rapidly become a reality, making the response to global trade issues and the restructuring of global supply chains a critical management agenda for domestic export companies. Accordingly, we have recruited former CEO Bae, who oversaw finance and trade at LG Electronics for many years and possesses excellent external cooperation capabilities, to provide differentiated integrated advisory services to export companies facing complex global trade issues."

Leader Bae graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in Economics, earned a master's degree in Policy Studies from the same university's graduate school, and a master's degree in Accounting from The George Washington University. He is a former economic official who passed the 33rd Administrative Examination and served as a director at the National Tax Service's Investigation Bureau and International Tax Bureau. In 2005, he joined LG Electronics as a director and, leveraging a solid government network, managed external cooperation, taxation, trade, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and the establishment and relocation of overseas subsidiaries.

Notably, since 2006, he led efforts to achieve favorable outcomes such as minimal margins in antidumping and safeguard cases filed by global competitors like Whirlpool against LG Electronics. He also collaborated with the Korean government to win World Trade Organization (WTO) cases concerning targeted dumping and zeroing. During the first Trump administration in 2017, he decided to establish an LG Electronics washing machine factory in Tennessee, southeastern U.S., successfully completing the project smoothly from securing the factory site to its establishment in 2019.

Leader Bae emphasized, "Tariffs are not a single issue like a 'tax bomb' but a complex issue affecting the entire supply chain of export companies and are closely related to optimizing production locations. Therefore, a highly strategic approach is necessary. We will provide scenario-based approaches, strategy development, and differentiated integrated advisory services to respond to complex global trade issues."
