Songpa-gu Establishes Nation's First Integrated Management Platform for Electric Vehicle Charging Facilities

Songpa-gu (Mayor Seo Gang-seok) announced that it has established the nation’s first ‘Integrated Management Platform for Electric Vehicle Charging Facilities.’

The ‘Integrated Management Platform for Electric Vehicle Charging Facilities’ is a program that can comprehensively record and manage all information related to all electric vehicle charging infrastructure within the district.

With the mandatory installation of electric vehicle charging facilities increasing the number of charging stations and growing concerns over electric vehicle fires, the importance of managing these facilities has emerged.

As of December last year, Songpa-gu operates a total of 5,281 electric vehicle charging units across 355 locations, including 62 publicly operated charging stations and 293 privately operated ones.

Accordingly, the district prioritizes residents’ safety by building a platform that can integrate and manage the electric vehicle charging infrastructure within the district, strengthening the management of charging facilities.

Last year, the district collaborated with software development company Emotion Place Co., Ltd. to develop an electric vehicle charging infrastructure navigation system. After six months of pilot operation, from February this year, the ‘Integrated Management Platform for Electric Vehicle Charging Facilities’ has been used to conduct accurate and systematic management of electric vehicle charging facilities.

Through the development of this electric vehicle charging infrastructure navigation system, public data such as buildings, land, and charging stations necessary for managing electric vehicle charging facilities within the district were collected and related tasks digitized. Based on this, the platform systematically implements tasks such as ▲management of mandatory installation status of charging stations ▲online surveys of charging facilities ▲online exemption applications.

In particular, by accurately grasping the installation status of electric vehicle charging facilities by building, aboveground and underground locations, as well as the status of fire safety facilities, the district plans to focus on safety management such as preventing electric vehicle fires.

Additionally, by utilizing the integrated platform to communicate in real time with the entities managing charging facilities in the area, the district intends to promptly respond to residents’ complaints regarding inconveniences in using charging stations.

Furthermore, starting in March, Songpa-gu plans to provide a location guidance service for electric vehicle charging stations within the district through its official website. Seo Gang-seok, Mayor of Songpa-gu, stated, “Through the nation’s first integrated management platform for electric vehicle charging facilities, we will manage systematically and efficiently to prevent electric vehicle fires in advance.” He added, “We will continue to prioritize residents’ safety and do our best to expand electric vehicle infrastructure and ensure safety management.”

Mapo-gu (Mayor Park Gang-su) will accept applications for the apartment complex support project worth 350 million KRW from March 4 to 31, 2025.

The apartment complex support project is a policy where Mapo-gu partially supports the costs necessary for the maintenance and management of common facilities in apartment complexes with 30 or more households.

In particular, the district plans to strengthen support for apartment complexes that have not received subsidies within the last five years and for financially challenged small-scale voluntarily managed apartment complexes.

The main support projects include repairs of main roads and security lights, repairs of children’s playgrounds and senior centers, installation and maintenance of CCTV, establishment of electric vehicle charging reserve facilities, and repair and reinforcement of disaster safety facilities.

Apartments wishing to apply should visit the 4th floor Housing Cooperation Division at Mapo-gu Office with the required documents between March 4 and 31, 2025.

Application forms and detailed information can be found on the Mapo-gu website under the Notices and Announcements section and the Housing Cooperation Division’s document room.

After document review and on-site inspection, the application will go through the Apartment Complex Support Deliberation Committee and be finalized in June 2025.

In 2024, Mapo-gu supported 38 apartment complexes with a total of 335 million KRW through the apartment complex support project.

Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo-gu, said, “The apartment complex support project is an important initiative to improve the living environment of small-scale and aged apartments with poor finances and facilities.” He added, “Mapo-gu will do its best to ensure residents live in a safe and pleasant residential environment.”

Seongdong-gu’s 2025 Apartment Complex Support Project... Total Budget of 1.16 Billion KRW

Targeting 162 Complexes with a Total of 67,692 Households, 1.06 Billion KRW for Apartment Support and 100 Million KRW for Community Revitalization Contest

Active Support for Maintenance and Repair of Various Facilities and Aging Common Facilities within Apartment Complexes to Create a Safe and Pleasant Residential Environment

Integrated Briefing Session on February 14 to Strengthen Resident Networks and Foster Sustainable Community Culture

Seongdong-gu (Mayor Jeong Won-oh) announced that it will implement the ‘2025 Apartment Complex Support and Community Revitalization Contest’ targeting 162 apartment complexes with a total of 67,692 households in the district, with a total budget of 1.16 billion KRW.

The apartment complex support project provides 50% to up to 70% financial support for the costs required for maintenance and management of common facilities within apartment complexes. The district has allocated a total budget of 1.06 billion KRW for this project.

Given that apartment complexes account for 88% of all households in Seongdong-gu, the district plans to actively support maintenance and repair of various facilities and aging common facilities within apartment complexes to create a safe and pleasant living environment for residents.

The support areas include 8 projects for community activation facilities and 14 projects for maintenance of common facilities, totaling 22 items, with one project supported per apartment complex. However, overlapping applications are allowed for outdoor security light electricity subsidies and cooling costs (during heat waves in July and August) for staff and cleaning personnel work and rest facilities.

Applications will be accepted from February 14 to March 7. Apartment complexes wishing to apply should have their management entities prepare the necessary documents and submit them in person at the Housing Policy Division of Seongdong-gu Office or by mail.

Additionally, 100 million KRW has been allocated for the apartment complex and local community revitalization contest. This aims to strengthen neighborly networks and foster a sustainable community culture, with differential support ranging from 2 million to 6 million KRW per project.

The contest categories include network strengthening and resident harmony, green apartment creation, community learning centers, health and exercise, and social service, totaling five categories. Groups can freely apply for projects that resolve conflicts within apartment complexes and the community and promote communication and affection according to their characteristics and circumstances.

To facilitate understanding of the related details, the district will hold an ‘Integrated Briefing Session for the 2025 Apartment Complex Support Project’ at 2 p.m. on February 14 in the 3rd-floor auditorium of Seongdong-gu Office. The session will provide guidance on application procedures, execution methods, and precautions, and will also include mandatory training on the operation and ethics of resident representative meetings to strengthen the capabilities of apartment complex members and enhance management professionalism.

Jeong Won-oh, Mayor of Seongdong-gu, said, “Through the ‘Apartment Complex Support and Community Revitalization Contest,’ we expect to create a safer and more pleasant living environment that increases residents’ satisfaction.” He added, “We will continue to actively support various projects tailored to the characteristics of apartment complexes and do our best to establish a happy community culture.”
