The Gwangju Regional Office of Patriots and Veterans Affairs announced on the 10th that Kim Seokki, former Director of Veterans Culture Policy at the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs, has been inaugurated as the 43rd head of the Gwangju Regional Office.
Director Kim began his public service career in 1990 and has served as Director of the Veterans Support Division, Director of Welfare Policy, and Head of the Jeonbuk Eastern Veterans Office at the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs.
On this day, Director Kim paid tribute at the Independence Movement Memorial Tower, the Memorial Tower for the Fallen, and the National May 18 Democratic Cemetery before holding his inauguration ceremony.
Director Kim stated, "I will strive to ensure that 'Patriotism for All' naturally permeates not only veterans' families but also the general public," and added, "Under the vision of '80th Anniversary of Liberation, Korea United by Patriotism,' I will do my utmost in veterans administration together with the staff of the Gwangju Regional Office."
